DUVAL COUNTY
GOLF COURSE COMMUNITIES
Duval County is (for all practical reasons) Jacksonville, Florida's largest city, both in terms of population
(just over 1,000,000) and
geographic size. Indeed, at 874 square miles, Jacksonville is the
geographically largest city in the contiguous 48 states! There are several metro areas
in Florida which are larger, including
Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. Jacksonville supports major sporting events
(such as Superbowl 39) and teams (including the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars).
There are also many cultural activities, concerts, and other opportunities
available here. Only a small subset of the golf course communities in Duval County are listed below.
These are all on the east side (nearer the ocean), and south of the St. Johns River.
