Palencia currently spans 1450 acres and has 650 homes completed out of 1850 planned. Expansion is underway, as the developers recently acquired an additional 850 acres, allowing an ultimate expansion to 2600 homes. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, 3 pools (plus a future junior Olympic pool), 13 parks and 20 miles of boardwalks, trails, and walkways, and a tennis center with 8 clay courts. The 18-hole Arthur Hills golf course includes a 20 acre learning and practice facility. The 33,000 square foot private golf clubhouse offers members a variety of dining options.

Near the entrance to the community is the Village Plaza, with plans to include a variety of shops, offices, restaurants, and the services needed to give Palencia the essence of a small home town.
