GOLF COURSE COMMUNITIES

Florida's First Coast boasts over 60 golf courses including more than 30 large residential golf course communities. Some of these are private (only members and guests may play), but quite a few are semi-private (non-members may play).  A few exclusive communities only allow residents to be members. The green flags to the left mark the locations of some of these golf course communities. As of 07-Feb-2010, there are 55 communities listed with a total of 1033 golf course homes for sale. The totals (and listings) are updated at least weekly. These lists may not be complete, and may include properties which are not actually on a golf course or for which the communities are inaccurate (due to typographic or other errors).  If you want additional information, simply contact Dennis or Steve.

AMELIA ISLAND PLANTATION borders the coast near the southern end of the Amelia Island. Perhaps best known as a first class golf and tennis resort destination, there are homes along 72 holes of championship golf. Amelia Island Plantation offers four 18-hole courses.  As of 07-Feb-2010, there were no golf course homes in Amelia Island Plantation listed for sale. There are many additional homes for sale both on and off the golf courses that are not listed in the NorthEast Florida Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service.

AMELIA NATIONAL is the newest country club community in Nassau County. It features a beautiful Tom Fazio designed 18-hole golf course, a 10,000 square foot clubhouse, fitness center, resort style swimming pool, 4 tennis courts, and nature trails. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 8 golf course homes in Amelia National listed for sale, priced from $199,900 to $997,200. This community has many spec homes and home sites available not listed here.

CIMARRONE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB has many homes nestled among its 18 holes of golf. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 7 golf course homes in Cimarrone Golf & Country Club listed for sale, priced from $197,900 to $605,000. While the community is nearly built out, they do have a few new golf course home sites available.

DEERCREEK COUNTRY CLUB is a gated true country club community near the Avenues Mall. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 18 golf course homes in Deercreek Country Club listed for sale, priced from $329,000 to $629,900.

DEERWOOD is a true Country Club in southern Duval County. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 35 golf course homes in Deerwood listed for sale, priced from $239,000 to $2,225,000.

EAGLE HARBOR is a large community located near the northern tip of Fleming Island and bordering Doctor's Inlet. It offers deep water access in addition to its 4-star Clyde Johnston designed 18-hole golf course. Eagle Harbor was named the "Best Planned Community in North Florida" by the Northeast Florida Planning and Zoning Council. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 81 golf course homes in Eagle Harbor listed for sale, priced from $139,900 to $1,599,000.

EAGLE LANDING is part of Oakleaf Plantation, one of the newest and largest communities in the area, with dozens of neighborhoods providing a life style for everyone. The Eagle Landing neighborhood is being built around a new Clyde Johnston championship golf course. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 81 golf course homes in EAGLE LANDING listed for sale, priced from $96,900 to $799,900. Over a dozen builders offer home sites and spec homes in the many neighborhoods of Oak Leaf Plantation, including Eagle Landing.

FLEMING ISLAND PLANTATION has a Bobby Weed designed 18 hole golf course meandering through 12 distinct neighborhoods. This community has a full suite of amenities, including a 250,000 sf "village square". As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 34 golf course homes in Fleming Island Plantation listed for sale, priced from $119,844 to $2,285,000.

GLEN KERNAN GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB may be Jacksonville's most prestigious golf and country club community. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 20 golf course homes in Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club listed for sale, priced from $750,000 to $2,950,000.

HIDDEN HILLS COUNTRY CLUB is well named, being located in an area of rolling terrain near Fort Caroline, and offering the amenities of a true country club. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 15 golf course homes in Hidden Hills Country Club listed for sale, priced from $269,000 to $650,000.

JACKSONVILLE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is an established, gated, true country club community centrally located in the Southside area. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 38 golf course homes in Jacksonville Golf & Country Club listed for sale, priced from $335,000 to $899,000.

JULINGTON CREEK PLANTATION (in the northwest corner of St. Johns county) has an 18 hole course meandering through the neighborhoods of a huge, 4200 acre development. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 99 golf course homes in Julington Creek Plantation listed for sale, priced from $80,000 to $1,224,900.

MAGNOLIA POINT GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is the southernmost golf course in Clay County, situated on the outskirts of Green Cove Springs. This 1,000+ acre gated golf club community includes a 27 hole Mark McCumber designed golf course, 7 clay tennis courts, and a Jr. Olympic pool. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 31 golf course homes in Magnolia Point listed for sale, priced from $185,000 to $590,000.

MARSH LANDING is a 1700 acre upscale gated true country club community with an "Ed Seay" golf course. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 54 golf course homes in Marsh Landing Country Club listed for sale, priced from $479,000 to $4,750,000.

NORTH HAMPTON has an Arnold Palmer Signature 18-hole golf course and just over 600 homes and homesites. Portions of the community overlook miles of marshlands with impressive views. North Hampton is located 6 miles west of Fernandina Beach. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 7 golf course homes in North Hampton listed for sale, priced from $225,000 to $899,000. There may be additional homes and homesites available that are not listed in the NorthEast Florida MLS.

ORANGE PARK COUNTRY CLUB has many homes nestled among its 18 holes of golf. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 29 golf course homes in Orange Park Country Club listed for sale, priced from $199,995 to $1,200,000.

PALENCIA is a new upscale gated community. In addition to dozens of resale properties, there are many homesites and spec homes available. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 56 golf course homes in Palencia listed for sale, priced from $200,000 to $3,250,000.

QUEEN'S HARBOUR GOLF & YACHT CLUB offers both an excellent golf course and deep water access.  Queen's Harbor has a fresh water marina and many waterfront homes with docks. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 55 golf course homes in Queens Harbour Golf & Yacht Club listed for sale, priced from $199,800 to $3,950,000.

SAWGRASS COUNTRY CLUB is situated between highway A1A and the Atlantic Ocean. A 1250 acre community built around 27 holes of a beautiful golf course, it is the largest and most active country club in the First Coast. Amenities include oceanfront dining at their private beach club. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 53 golf course homes in Sawgrass Country Club listed for sale, priced from $290,000 to $1,499,000.

SOUTH HAMPTON features a Mark McCumber 18 hole course with homes along nearly every hole. Nearly all of the homes are on the golf course, a lake, or a preserve. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 25 golf course homes in South Hampton listed for sale, priced from $210,000 to $775,000.

ST JOHNS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB has many homes nestled among its 18 holes of golf. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 19 golf course homes in St Johns Golf & Country Club listed for sale, priced from $179,900 to $539,900.

SUMMER BEACH is a golf course community surrounding the Ritz-Carlton resort on Amelia Island. It offers oceanfront condominiums and homes along the Gene Littler/Mark McCumber golf course. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were no golf course homes in Summer Beach listed for sale. There may be additional homes not listed in this MLS.

THE PLANTATION AT PONTE VEDRA is a gated country club community built among the holes of an Arnold Palmer / Ed Seay golf course.  They have a private beach club which offers casual dining and hosts the community pool.  Membership in the country club is mandatory and limited to residents. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 65 golf course homes in The Plantation at Ponte Vedra listed for sale, priced from $315,000 to $2,699,000. They also have a number of golf course homesites available for construction of custom homes.

TPC SAWGRASS is the site of the Tournament Players Championship every year. There are three 18 hole courses, including the private Oakbridge Golf Club course (recently renamed The Ponte Vedra Golf and Country Club). The Stadium Course (site of the TPC Championship) has only a few homes bordering it, while the Valley Course has many. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 36 golf course homes in TPC Sawgrass listed for sale, priced from $187,900 to $1,940,000.

WINDSOR PARKE is a semi-private 18-hole Arthur Hills golf course which has been given a 4 star rating by Golf Digest. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 9 golf course homes in Windsor Parke listed for sale, priced from $239,900 to $422,900.

WORLD GOLF VILLAGE is a major golf destination featuring a dozen distinct neighborhoods and two golf courses (the King & Bear, and the Slammer & Squire). WGV also hosts hotels, restaurants, shops, and the World Golf Hall of Fame. As of 07-Feb-2010, there were 58 golf course homes in World Golf Village listed for sale, priced from $134,500 to $1,265,000.
